What must be on a tax invoice in South Africa?
For a supply over R5,000, a full tax invoice shows the words “tax invoice”, your name, address and VAT number, your customer’s name, address and VAT number (if they are a vendor), an invoice number and date, a description of what was supplied, the quantity, the value, and the VAT charged. Up to R5,000 an abridged tax invoice is enough, without the customer’s details. CRM Online puts your details on every invoice, and the SA Accounting module flags invoices over R5,000 to customers with no VAT number on file. Your accountant can confirm what applies to you.
Do I have to be VAT registered?
No. If you are not a VAT vendor, simply leave tax off your items and invoices. If you are, set 15% VAT once and it is worked out on every line.
Can my customers pay by card?
Yes, with the Yoco Card Payments module your customers can pay by card straight from the invoice. You can also send payment links by email or WhatsApp.
Can I turn a quote into an invoice?
Yes, in one click, or save it as a draft invoice to check first. Nothing is typed twice.
Can I send monthly statements?
Yes. The Statement Manager module sends monthly statements by email, and by WhatsApp too, with the age analysis on them.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. CRM Online works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and you can add it to your phone’s home screen like an app.
What does it cost?
Nothing for the first 30 days, and no card is needed. After that it is R575 per month for up to 5 staff. No VAT is added: CRM Online is not a VAT vendor at present. Invoices and quotes are included as standard.
